Do I need a wrist brace?

If you experience any of the following conditions, then a wrist brace (wrist splint) could be useful.

  • Numbness
  • Hand or wrist pain
  • Carpal Tunnel Syndrome
  • Weak or injured wrist
  • Bent wrist during sleep

Training your wrists to stay in neutral is key to reducing pain and strain. It is easy with a wrist brace. Wearing a wrist brace is one of the top three things doctors recommend for Carpal Tunnel Syndrome.

How can a wrist brace help me?

  • Keeps wrists safe, warm and comfortable.
  • Encourages more restful sleep by reducing pain and numbness and preventing excessive bending.
  • Reduces pressure and increases space in the carpal canal, reducing pain and inflammation.
  • Supports faster healing.

What is the difference between a wrist brace and a wrist splint?

There is little difference. Wrist braces and wrist splints serve the same essential purpose, which is to give wrists support in movement and non-movement while alleviating pain.

Why this wrist brace?

After trying many different wrist braces, wrist splints and wrist supports, we endorse the Sammons
Preston wrist brace because:

  • Multiple Velcro adjustments allow for a personalized fit.
  • Durable, breathable and washable materials make it comfortable to wear.
  • Fine craftsmanship means a one-time purchase.
  • One-handed application makes it easy to put on.
  • Coach Cathy’s occupational therapist highly recommends this wrist splint over dozens of others.

Which size is best for me?

This wrist brace is available in five sizes in right-hand or left-hand models. Follow these 2 steps for a perfect fit.

Step One: Measure your wrist. Use a soft measuring tape and wrap it around your wrist. Or use a string to find the distance around your wrist and then measure the string. (Note: Measure both wrists if you want braces for each. They may be different sizes.)wrist_brace_Measure wrist

Step Two: Select a brace size for each hand.

Wrist Brace Sizing:

  • Extra-small 4″ – 5″
  • Small 5″ – 6″
  • Medium 6″ – 7″
  • Large 7″ – 8″
  • Extra-large 8” – 9”

How do I clean my wrist brace?

It’s easy! (Remember to always remove the two metal bars before cleaning.)

  1. Machine wash in a laundry bag OR hand wash.
  2. Hang to dry.

What else do I need to know?

Carpal Tunnel Coaching’s video training program offers you even more solutions to combating cumulative stress traumas. Like a car that’s crashed because of a flat tire. No longer can you go back and just fix the tire. The fender, windshield and bumper need attention. All your parts CAN be repaired. We hold your hands with online video coaching.
